Psychotherapy for couples.

Therapy for couples is also therapy for a family.

Psychotherapy for couples is also a series of meetings aimed at examining ways of communication and relationships prevailing in the family and the effects of their interactions on its individual members.

The therapy usually involves spouses, but also other family members can participate in it. In this structure the role of a therapist is of a more directive character and he holds a position of the “leader.”

Meetings are held once every two or three weeks. The decreased frequency is caused by different dynamics of the process – here a family is a small group and in a group some processes take place faster and more dynamically.
